
Who Should attend
Attendance is open to all individuals who believe in the
efficacy of an accurate historical narrative and who
exhibit a certain degree of passion and dedication
in the quest for such a narrative. We welcome
participants from the academic and think tank
community as well as Autodidacts . We particularly
welcome the participation of stakeholders in Society who
will assume the responsibility to play an activist role
in fighting the distorted portrayals in the text books
used throughout the world
Prize
for the best essay
In keeping with the
second objective which is to increase
awareness of the importance of learning the accurate
history of India and its impact on the future choices
that a country can and should make in its vital
interests, the Indic Studies Foundation (ISF)
is offering a modest prize of Rs. 50,000/- to the
individual from the student community who submits the best essay on the
topic. "Why I believe that the Indic
Civilization deserves a history that is free from
distortions ". The essay should not exceed 8000 words in
length and should be submitted in Microsoft
97-2003 word format and should be sent to the
webmaster@indicstudies.us
The competition is open
to all individuals who are students in good
standing at any accredited University in the world. The
last date for submission is Nov. 30, 2008. All
submissions should be accompanied by a Proof of ID, a
valid email, address, and a letter from their University
indicating they are students of good standing at
the university. The decision of the scholarship
committee will be final and if no deserving submissions
are received, ISF retains the option of not awarding the
